SHIPPING INFORMATION

Most domestic packages will ship within one business day after receiving payment for services. International packages may take up to three days due to additional processing. You will be contacted immediately if there is any reason for further delay. See below for information on carriers, rates and shipping services.

SHIPPING YOUR PIPES TO COOK’S FINE PIPE WORKS:

IMPORTANT: Some clients may choose to ship by courier service (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.) rather than the Postal Service. These services will not deliver to a PO box. So, if a courier service is your preference, please let me know before shipping so that I can provide an alternate address.

Contact me to discuss your project before you ship the pipe. I will not commit to the work without pre-approval. Pipes that arrive without pre-approval may be returned to the sender.

When shipping your pipes to me, please include a note that contains your name, contact information (email, phone, etc.), return shipping address and information about the pipe and type of work desired. To make things easier, you can fill out and print this service order form to include in the package.

Before shipping, make sure that your pipes are securely packaged and padded. I highly recommend that you use a cardboard box container rather than a flexible bubble mailer. Use enough packing material to prevent the contents from freely moving about. If possible, remove the stem and any other attachments from the pipe and wrap each part separately in bubble wrap (an old, clean cloth or a couple of paper towels will work in a pinch). If the parts are in any way resistant to being disassembled, do not risk further damage by removing them. In that case, it’s better to send the pipe as one piece.

If the carrier provides a tracking number for your package, I would greatly appreciate it if you could send that to me so that I can be aware of its status and availability for pickup from the Post Office.

DOMESTIC CARRIERS, RATES & SERVICES:

Packages shipped from Cook’s Fine Pipe Works to US addresses are sent via USPS Priority Mail 2-Day unless otherwise requested. Shipping fees are calculated based on the actual rates charged by the carrier. Up to $50 of insurance is included as standard (not to exceed the value of the contents). Expedited shipping services (Priority Mail 1-Day), courier service delivery (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.), signature confirmation and extra insurance are available upon request at an additional fee.

INTERNATIONAL CARRIERS, RATES & SERVICES:

Packages shipped from Cook’s Fine Pipe Works to international addresses are sent via USPS Priority International Mail unless otherwise requested. Shipping fees for international packages are calculated based on the actual rates charged by the carrier. Up to $200 of insurance is included as standard (not to exceed the value of the contents). Expedited shipping services (Priority Mail Express International), courier service delivery (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.), signature confirmation and extra insurance are available upon request at an additional fee. Package contents will be declared at customs as “merchandise” and described as “repaired pipe”. The minimum declared value for each item will be no less than the amount charged for the repair/restoration work for that item. No exceptions. For insurance purposes, the owner may request for an item’s value to be declared higher than the fee for the work.

Cook’s Fine Pipe Works will not be responsible for items that are lost, stolen, damaged, or seized during incoming or outgoing shipment. All duties or tariffs imposed on international packages are the responsibility of the client.
